The evening will feature a screening of Breaking Fast, an award-winning romantic comedy-drama directed by Mike Mosallam. The film follows Mo, a practising Muslim living in Los Angeles who is navigating the challenges of balancing his faith, family expectations, and search for love. During Ramadan, he unexpectedly meets Kal, and their growing connection leads him on a journey of self-discovery, acceptance, and authenticity. Through humour, heart, and cultural nuance, Breaking Fast offers a refreshing and uplifting portrayal of queer Muslim experiences rarely seen on screen.
